Cassidy had always had a terrible case of wanderlust and itchy feet. She could never stay in one place for too long, and she loved exploring new places. It was partly why she was so stubborn about giving up Mac, her incessant need to explore new places satisfied by her home on wheels. Even as a child, she’d never been able to sit still, much to her parents dismay. Exploring new places from a different perspective had always fascinated her, and there was no perspective more different than the sky. She hadn’t really known what to expect when she’d turned up at Bren’s apartment earlier that day, but the helicopter ride they’d just taken over San Diego had not been it. An hour later, she was still in awe as they walked back to Bren’s car. “That was fucking crazy. Incredible but fucking crazy.” She shook her head in awe, grinning. “Seriously, Bren. Thank you so fucking much. That was amazing.”

BREN
Face mask on, wrapped up in a bathroom, glass of wine in hand and snuggled up with the cats? Cassidy could definitely get used to this. She thought she’d hate living in an apartment again after the freedom of living in Mac, but so far she’d been having a great time. As much as she’d loved living in the van, she hadn’t realised how lonely it was until moving in with Bren. “Anything in particular you wanna order, B?” She smiled, picking up her phone, ready to start ordering food. Absentmindedly taking a sip of her wine, she grinned at Marlo purring in her lap. “I mean really, I don’t see how it gets any better than this.” She chuckled softly. “Well, maybe some white might help, but that’s just the day I’ve had.” She sighed, tilting her head to the side as she looked at Bren. “How about you? How was your day?”
