𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐰. following the crowning all the chaos seemed to settle down & aster was left to find another means to occupy her time. she did not like to be bored. often times she found that whenever she was bored, her mind began to second guess itself about things. sometimes she wished that the ice in her heart could freeze her mind as well to prevent the kind of thoughts that kept aster awake at night. you’re losing control, your own body is turning against you, could you too end up like the previous high king ! that was becoming evermore a possibility & recent events didn’t do much to ease those thoughts. so she decided to seek out a distraction.
she didn’t know the fae’s name, nor did she ask. she looked like an undersea fae but that was just an assumption. aster was not interested in conversing with her. once she’d served her purpose aster had no use for her. she didn’t care much for romance. she watched from the comfort of her bed as the fae made a swift exit, practically running into her BELOVED advisor as she did. aster wore a smug grin, like that of a child who just disobeyed their parent, ‘ haven’t you ever heard of knocking? ’
