Her anxiety is at an all-time high. First Theo, now Toby. Her siblings' best friends. Charlotte can barely think straight anymore, her thoughts consumed with how Jake and Sarah are feeling and doing. If they've been eating well, if they've been sleeping well. If they need anything. If she can do anything to help. Granted, she'd break herself in half if that meant she could help them. So much has happened in a span of a few days, and it's overwhelming to keep up with, so emotionally and physically draining. She's come out of the kitchen with a glass of water, sitting next to Jacob. "Here. You should drink," she says softly, handing him the glass before she sits down next to him, wrapping an arm around him and leaning her head against his. She doesn't know what to say, but she's desperate to take whatever negative emotions he's feeling away, lessen the pain and the hurt and the grief. Charlotte's not great with words, she never was. But she was good at being here, being present for the people she loved, an unfaltering love and loyalty to those who were dear to her heart. And at the end of the day, it was important for her to know that her siblings can lean on her, that if they need someone, they have her.
