though she had broken away from jamie in hopes of finding what they’re looking for faster, nisa wanders the aisles somewhat aimlessly, feeling no real sense of emergency, despite looking for emergency contraception. but then she turns to head down another aisle and there, right next to the condoms and pregnancy tests, was the plan b. further down the aisle still, a sad little selection of baby clothes. one onesie, one pair of shoes, and two options of bibs. despite the irony of the placement, there’s just one question on nisa’s mind as she wanders over; who would buy baby clothes from a drug store? she tugs the onesie off the shelf, more out of curiosity of its quality than anything else, but then she catches sight of a flash of bleached blonde out of the corner of her eye. despite the complete absence of any motherly instincts, nisa manages to fake a look of wistfulness as jamie approaches her. “i don’t know, jamie. maybe we’re making a mistake.” her lower lip juts out in a pout as she turns to him and holds up the onesie. “look at how cute and small it is,” she coos. despite her attempts to keep up the charade, nisa only manages to maintain her poker face for a few seconds before her features betray her, the corners of her lips twitching up in a hint of a smile.
