     the damn chair’s legs are uneven. at least, it’s the conclusion he’s come to with the way it bounces back and forth as he moves in his seat, the leg leaning off the ground and coming back down when he shifts forward. it’s distracting and fuels the fact he can’t concentrate on his notes and hasn’t been able to the last half hour with how lopsided he’s feeling. great thing, too, when you’re supposed to be studying for your finals.

         eventually, he groans, running a hand over his face a few times in exasperation. he looks over at the person across from him with a tiny pout, leaning forward until his chin’s resting on his textbook. slowly, his arms stretch out before him, long enough they intrude a little into luke’s space. “let’s take a break, lukey luke. entertain me.” he’s careful enough to keep his voice on the softer side, well aware he’ll get hushed ( if not kicked ) if he’s any louder, especially now around exam time.
