@ofcpj // nervous. it was the only emotion that was running throughout her entire body. she was nervous, because this would be the first time she’d be seeing pj since their encounter at the field those few days ago. her finger hovered over his number multiple times since then, wanting to talk about the carnival and even making plans to hang out after their shifts were done, but she always changed her mind at the last minute. it’s not like they left off on a bad foot. actually, it was quiet the opposite. despite getting a little heated for a moment, it took the boy no time at all to clear the air and apologize for the confusion that caused the air between them to grow so cold. a small smile began to grow on her lips as she recalls the memory, the two soon sharing another heated kiss against the side of his car as a make up for putting a halt on the last one. however, it was the feeling that came with that kiss that caused her to be nervous. it was the same feeling that overtook her senses the first time around, how despite how passionate it became, it was still so much softer than all the other ones. there was no lust, no rush, no urge to simply get to the next step. it was like they were simply enjoying each other’s physical touches, letting their lips dance to a different beat that head a deeper meaning. it was, dare she say, one of the best kisses she’s had in years.
and that terrified her.
now she was here, setting up her equipment once again, for the tools the fair provided were not up to her standards by any means. her camera’s and tech could snap pictures and print them out faster than whatever ancient dinosaur the fair try to hand off to her. she kept looking over her shoulder every five seconds, just to see if pj was heading her way. sadly the crowds around her blocked any and all view, and soon she began to give up. maybe he backed out and picked another booth, wanting to keep some distance between the two to clear their heads. it made sense, or at least she tried to think that just so her feelings would get so easily bruised. thankfully she as getting closer to having everything set up, soon bending over to look through her bag once more to make sure she had everything she needed. “battery packs!” sunni quickly remembered, a loud sigh escaping her lips as she cursed under her breath. “fucking christ, why is it always the stupid battery packs?” great, and she didn’t even have the boy to relay on to bring extras, because again, she was one hundred percent certain the boy had wondered far away from her at this point. “how are you going to be a famous photographer if you can’t even pack extra battery packs, sunni,” she scolded herself, her mind racing in hopes to find a quick solution to her problem.
