FACE TO FACE | RYAN & SAM
The passed couple of weeks had been a whirlwind. Getting broken up with, getting back together with the guy that he'd been strung out over for longer than he carried to admit.. it all was too much, but just enough for him to be insanely happy. The dance the night before couldn't have gone better than it did, Ryan actually attentive and into it, high, of course, but still so excited to be there. It surprised him, if he were to be truthful, the fact that they were actually connecting, that there was a mutual like, and even more so that.. he was about to ask this guy to be his boyfriend. Walking out of the lame little go cart place, Sam slipped his hand into Ryan's, lacing their fingers together tightly. He didn't pull away, which in and of itself.. that was the perfect sign that this would be okay, that he wasn't rushing things between them. They'd fought and battled long enough to be here, with each other and actually happy.
"Thanks for indulging me with that. It was probably lame, even though I saw you with this big cheesy grin on your face. But, yeah, thank you. I just figured we'd calm down from all the excitement of the dance yesterday, you know?" Sam said with a shrug, walking closer to the other as he led them towards the little coffee shop not too far from the place they'd just been. "Can I get you a coffee?"
