i don’t talk about this with yuffie a lot (largely because i’m just fleshing it out but!!!) one thing yuffie feels is like she’s not quite part of the family. like she doesn’t quite belong

it’s hard, being the latest addition sometimes. it’s hard, when you’re the only one here who’s only been here for like three years when everyone else has been here for seven, or ten, or literally known each other since they were babies, and she’s not in on the loop with old jokes she never got to meet zack or elmyra and it’s just

she knows aerith loves her, she knows that leon and cid love her, 

but sometimes this feeling of disconnect sits under her skin like it’s a feral thing, sometimes it Really Bugs Her (that one chapter of ATR where everyone introduces themselves with a last name and she says “yuffie, just yuffie”) and

now that i’ve played kirby’s return to dreamland i think i’m legally obligated to tell you what riku and yuffie’s fave kirby is, as well as which non-kirby character they love to play (yuffie’s is prob waddle dee, and i’m feeling dedede for riku but i’ve yet to play dedede myself so hmmmm)

HOWEVER I DON’T THINK I PERSONALLY HAVE ENOUGH HOURS LOGGED INTO THIS GAME TO PICK MY OWN FAVE KIRBY LET ALONE THEIR FAVE KIRBIES SO GET BACK TO ME ON THIS

she has no idea how to be supportive ((she’s, never known how,)) but she does care soooo much about her family so she just!! does what she can!!! right now it’s asking if she should get rid of vexen ((she does do this in the chapter too, just a little differently)) and then later it’s just awkwardly follows riku hoping maybe i can?? i dunno, guess i could cause a distraction to get ‘em outta there if things look too bad

i don’t even know if she knows vexen??? i odn’t think she does??? she’s probably heard riku talk about him though, and she def heard riku groan about him and she can see well enough how riku holds himself like he doesn’t want to be doing this and she tries to help

because she cares!!! and riku’s family too!!!!! AND SHE WANTS TO BE THERE TO HELP HIM OUT!!!

i’ve projected a lot onto ftp yuffie (like some of my own personality and when it’s not that it’s just extremely specific headcanons) and i’m nto sure if she even remotely resembles canon yuffie in ff or kh anymore but i love her so much she’s so dear to me
