Death was indeed something ironic, especially for those like them; immortals, survivors of time and war, doomed to live a hopeless life as they glued back the broken pieces of what they once were and move on as time failed and they remained the same for as long as the mundane remembered their stories by the pages of a book or by their hearts.
And for those used to the idea of living forever, death was also quite terrifying when finally gave a thought. It was the first time in such a long while that the reality hit the red-haired to the point of leaving her dizzy, the lost in the war wasn’t only soldiers and Katherine should know that better than anyone else once she was still haunted by the memories of her stand on the army she once fought for and that only a few days ago had taken the life of Lord Hansel, the witch hunter, her friend.
Katherine took a deep breath as she hovered her injured fingers on top of the cauldron, squeezing them together so that the thick scarlet drops of blood could meet the rest of the ingredients of the potion, it didn’t matter that Gabriel would yell at her for using witchcraft to rise him back from the dead if the potion ever worked out, it didn’t matter that her craft didn’t worked properly for personal gain, she needed to try everything in her might to bring him back, she couldn’t let him down, not now and not ever.
She tried to ignore the swell of pity all the other fables and even her own reflection in the mirror gave her. The red-haired could not forget their moments, his words, his pain, him. Gabriel had been one of the biggest ironies of her life, a dear friend who held so much fear and hate to what she was and still was able to humanize her, look pass the craft and see her for what she was.
Katherine wasn’t a cold-hearted monster. She was a child, like him, forced to bear the weight of the world on their shoulders, a child without a childhood. A human being that was suffering greatly the loss of someone important to her.
The petite woman didn’t quite realized when her delicate fingers had shifted through the contact list of her phone, but her heart seemed to break a little bit more at the sound of the other’s voice as the call reached the voice mail and after a second or less, she finally glued enough of courage to speak, even if he would never listen to it, he should be reassured.
“I swear I tried everything, Gabe. All the spells I knew, all the potions I could render and it’s not fair I can’t bring you back! It’s just not fair, nothing about this war is fair anymore, everyone is just trying to survive but the loss of one life don’t seem to mean a thing, because it won’t affect the outcome and you deserved so much better! Merlin, when you finally trust me with your life I can’t do something to bring it back to you!” She took a deep breath, it wasn’t a surprise that the tears weren’t there to be avoided, nor was it the feeling of drowning in her own sorrow.
“But I promise you someone will be taking responsibility for what happened to you. I don’t care if I have to hunt down and kill every adversary member hiding in fabletown, your death won’t be in vain and I will avenge you, but just promise me that wherever you’re right now you will finally give yourself a chance to relax and perhaps be happy. I’m missing you, Gabe, and you should know you will not be forgotten, not now, not ever.”
But perhaps there was something more ironical than death: A witch mourning and avenging a witch hunter against the army she once stood for.

ftxgabriel replied to your post:(/walks up to her and wraps his fingers around her wrist, not explaining anything as he started to tug her forward) I'm going to use you for a bit.
(/shakes his head to answer her question, bringing her to the edge of the park where Kiki was tied up to a tree. He lets go of her and gives her Kiki’s leash, pointing to the pet store ahead of them) Buy her food. They won’t let me inside.
' blinks a couple times, staring incredulously at you; ....That's it? I thought I was in some kind of trouble or something, hmmph. ' puffs her cheeks out before crouching down next to Kiki, gently petting the dog's fur with one hand while the other holds on to her leash; You could have just asked without all the mystery and stuff but I'll buy her food mhm, why won't they let you in though?
(/walks up to her and wraps his fingers around her wrist, not explaining anything as he started to tug her forward) I'm going to use you for a bit.
Wait what---? ' her expression is one of confusion as her gaze shifts back and forth between the hand on wrist and at you, brows raised in question; Um, I'm not being arrested, am I?
(/watches her with both interest and curiosity tangles together in his eyes. He doesn't dare approach her yet and just stays quiet, his phone carelessly dangling in between his thumb and forefinger as he attempts to look like he was doing something else)
{/Perfectly aware of the male eyeing her curiously, she simply smiles ever so softly to herself; playing along with his little game by examining her nails — eagerly anticipating the moment he’d finally speak/
If it wasn't for the absolutely good opportunity of job, she would never had accepted the invite to live in South Korea for months. But she needed the money and the adventure as life in the US had become a routine that she couldn't break. Each day new people would approach her and know her, they would know exactly what kind of cereal she ate for breakfast and some would even know more. It had scared her at first but she wasn't the only one. Her friends, Casey and Yasmin, had been put through the same emotional pain of people not being able to accept the fact that models need a private life too.
Seoul was something else.
Even if people stared at her, it didn't have to mean that they knew who she was. She was just different from them. Difference that were easily shown when she tried to talk in korean or just simply order something. Drumming her fingers against her wallet, she glanced at the menu of the café with a rather concerned twist in her expressions. People behind her started to get impatient and wanted to order their coffee too but Barbie just simply couldn't understand a thing of the korean letters. All she wanted was yet another coffee and then she'd be out of their sight, away from them to not annoy nor disturb their daily routines.
After all, she could understand how annoying it had to be to stand in line for over ten minutes and wait for someone that couldn't order a simple coffee. "I--" fumbling with words, she tried again and again, watching the crowd around her stare.
I can't think of a third one at the moment. But number two will soon, know everything.
Pastime: Three hobbies I have that I would be embarrassed to know someone discovered.
I tend to enjoy sewing. A variety of the articles in my closet are made by yours truly and though they hold some contrasting similarities to some designers; a handful of them are made by me.
There are times when I enjoy watching the mundy channels upon the black box. They have some interesting shows upon the screen --
I will collect all the pokemon cards in the world --
Sunny definitely needed to freshen up. It has been weeks since she had the chance to go forget about her responsibilities a little. The chance has been given to her on a chilly January night, when they had a completely schedule free night. Some of the girls decided to rest and watch a movie, while the girls whom were lucky enough got to spend their evening with their boyfriends. The shortest lady had other purposes, though. She wanted to feel the freedom she got and not waste the opportunity -- her plan for the night was to go have fun in a club. A classier one anyway, she preferred to stay out of those shady ones.
By 10PM she was ready to go: black skinny jeans fitted perfectly assorted with a loose, leopard patterned sleeveless shirt and a pair of plain black heels. With her shades on -- ironically enough, since it was dark outside, but she didn't want to attract attention -- and a thick, warm jacket, she stepped out their dorm joyously. The cab she requested earlier came just in time for her to immediately hop in and take a seat. After telling the directions, she waited patiently while admiring the sight of the nocturnal capital city.
Soon she arrived to her destination. The club wasn't very popular, it was just perfect for her purposes. It was a typical hole-in-the wall club with artsy details and an exceptional DJ with a taste for the right music for the right moments. She entered the place with a large confident grin on her face.
The neon lights and the smokey air blurred her vision, but she managed to make it to the counter. " A mojito cocktail, please. " She ordered the bartender as she slipped on one of those fancy bar stools. Sunny examined the current community of the club with her silly smile -- they were having a great time with more or less scandalous attitudes, but she didn't exactly mind them. Instead, she glanced to her right side where a seemingly lonely man sat. He was definitely good-looking, but his handsome features were faded by the obvious introversion and solitude. Maybe she stared for too long -- it was too late though, the stranger had already caught her gaze. He looked like he needed someone to cheer him up anyway, so figured she should speak up. " Aye, good evening, sir. " Her smile transformed into a smirk as she sent him a questioning glance. "Why're ya down in the dumps?"
