A new MayoPan Web Exclusive dropped with today's episode. It's a solo Fu vid of her showing off her top 3 favorite Manga and they're all BL... Who knew Fu was a fujoshi. It certainly is an, uh, interesting video

also THERE'S OFFICIAL ENGLISH SUBTITLES TO THE WEB EXCLUSIVES NOW AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (well, except Tokage's vid, still no JP sub or EN translation for her's)

They're a tad clunky in places compared to the anime, you can already see the translation difference in their intros, but atleast you can understand what's being said now YAY

It seems like this'll be the last web exclusive like this tho. There's nothing about a "next installment" in the top of the description like the other 3 vids.

But if there are more in the future and there's anyone else trying to keep up with the new uploads as they come out, the exclusives went live around the same time the episodes do in JP. Also, they're so much easier to find on the official site so you don't have to go digging threw everything else uploaded to the Kadokawa channel like it's fucking 2010s Machinima. The web exclusives are in the first section under the channel trailer in the オリジナルアニメ category.

Left brain: Fu singing one of Aya's songs symbolically resolves her yearning to sing with Aya again. In the process, she's opening up to her housemates in specific and the outside world in general, so removing the "curtains" from the "windows to her soul" is an effective use of character design to convey a crucial character beat.

Right brain: I bet Mayopan's in-universe are flipping out over Fu's "right eye reveal".

So I've finally gotten around to start watching things consistently again (if y'all havn't seen the bump in new stuff I've been reblogging recently that isn't just UT/DR, KH, & ISaT. There is soo much more coming threw the que over the next week for y'all to see the extent of the brainworms)

Yesterday I picked up Mayokana Punch expecting Unhinged Vampire Canceled YouTube Yuri and the new episode today sure was something I'm having to sit and think about.

I JUST finished Frieren Season 1 a little over a week ago, I wasn't expecting to run into another unaging being having to grapple with the concept of Human Mortality so soon

Edit 1: had to go back and double check something and I'm not ok

I needed to try and gauge the timeframe of the flashbacks by seeing what cassette player she's holding only to realize we get a fully fucking legible song list written on the cover of a mixtap with analogs to bands like Eagles and Queen. Someone on reddit already managed to track (almost)all the songs down and every single one is from '76 and '77

The mixtape is described as "Yesterday's Best Western Hits" so I still had to go back and double check the style of the Walkman and it seems to match closest with the WM-22 from 1984

The style of the CRT TV with wood paneling seems to match the era too (no I am not tracking down a tv model, that's too much work)
