For me, this hits really hard at the fourth and fifth slide. Y’all may think this is silly, but I came to this realization when I started listening to @CityGirls a couple years ago 😩 Just hear me out and keep reading. When #FuckDatNigga dropped something in my brain clicked about how I was viewing men and made me realize that I was accepting way less than my worth. No matter how @TheGirlJT and @YungMiami305 articulated the message, to me, the song posed the question, “Why should any of us be comfortable struggling with a man who can’t or won’t meet our needs and demands?” Us women don’t deserve anything less than to be treated like the queens we are, especially when someone says that they are interested in us. We shouldn’t be expected to struggle for love, but that’s what I’ve always thought love was. Perpetual suffering. I’ve always thought that I had to go through trial periods with people just to prove my worth when I was worthy all along. Now, I am able to quickly identify people who are trying to manipulate me in this way which is why I’m okay with remaining single for now. I don’t want any men commenting under this post about gold-diggers and telling any woman in the comment section what they do and don’t deserve. This message ain’t for you so shut it up! https://www.instagram.com/p/B8ZLpvqpUVP/?igshid=15ute2rlyvy4y
