Nearly got killed tonight. A golf ball got fired off a semi's tired right at my windshield during rush hour commute home on I55 south. Caused me to veer slightly left as I was about to pass a broke down vehicle that was jutted out over a foot into the left lane. It was a domino effect. The front of my truck clipped the suv's rear and broke my front axle, sending the tire flying and crippling my brakes. Fought like hell to keep the truck from spinning out or into the other lanes and managed to skidded to a stop in a grassy medium. I'm shaken, and sore as all f#ck but thankful to just be alive. Thank God for the heavy duty body of a Silverado. I'm angry though because I had just paid my truck off and she was good for at least another 100k miles.
