I'm new to this whole trans thing, and people have been bringing up some chick named "isuggestforcefem" as what not to do as a trans woman. I have no idea who she is so let me just look herrr... OH DEAR FUCKING LORD...
You know, usually when you have someone saying that rapists and pedophiles need to be protected, that really begs the question: What does she do that Tumblr doesn't know about? What the fuck HAS she done?
Okay kids, I've been on the internet since the 90's, and let me tell you that I can spot things from miles away. She's not just shooting the shit. She's not just having "a discussion". She's projecting. She's confessing what she's into, and what she's done.
this whole forced analogy of transandrophobia/antitransmasculinity being the same as "misogynblanc" is fucking INSANE. for one thing, racial oppression is nothing like gendered oppression, they are NOT applicable.
but if you MUST do that stupid analogy with race, that doesnt fucking work as an analogy. white women have their own brand of privilege and supremacy. they are wanted in this society. trans men are obviously not fucking important to anyone.
the obvious metaphor is the idea of "misandoir". Black men do have a conditional male privilege, but it is completely overwhelmed by racism. there is no universe where Black men are actually wanted and accepted by society, outside of invisibilized labor. they face a brand of gendered oppression that is very much unique to being a man. they dont deal with misogyny, but they face their own particular brand of oppression (racism) that is modified by their maleness/masculinity.
and shocker, but so do trans men.
you can argue trans men have conditional male privilege, sure. but they also face a horrific brand of transphobia that is particular to them being men.
but i think we all know why people are associating us with white women ......😒
[obligatory disclaimer that racism and sexism/misogyny/exorsexism are genuinely so different that they canNOT be compared like this. and white trans people will always have privilege over Black cis people. i am simply pointing out the similarity—that society doesnt want trans people or Black people to exist, while white cis women are absolutely a protected class]
[only some of the reasons why: all racism is gendered. ofc all WOC face misogyny where cis MOC dont, but all racism towards men is gendered. also you can change your gender. also, racism is genocidal. misogyny wants white women around to make babies and take care of the men. white supremacy wants every person of color dead. and OBVIOUSLY, Black cis men have it so so so much worse than cis white women, or white trans people of any kind. its incomparable (not oppression Olympics, misogyny is still just as bad, just speaking of material facts)]
