I tweeted the words above earlier (which are completely true), and was immediately told, "YOU DON'T SPEAK FOR MEN."

Women can't even tweet without being told what they can/cannot do, let alone walk somewhere safely.

As a woman, I'm just so tired.

I am fuming right now. I am crying and shaking and fuming, I am pissed off and scared and so fuuuuuckin done right now.

So I'm biking home. We have Bixis in town, those rental bike systems where you dock them when you're done. I use them everyday. The dock closest to my house is full, so I go to the next one a few blocks away. Bike path on the left of the road.

The road is clear, and the next block I need to turn right, so I get on the road for ONE BLOCK. Just then a mini van with two ASSHOLES turn to the road beside me. There's plenty of space for them to overtake me, instead the slow down beside me and yell at me to get on the bike path.

I should state here that legally, even if there is a bike path, bikes and cars can share the road. I yell back that I'm turning right RIGHT HERE. So I turn...the guy slows his van, backs up, and proceeds to follow me the whole way up the street. He tries to get beside me so I take the middle of the road because now I'm fuckin scared. It's a little hill, I just got out of my kickboxing classes exhausted, I'm trying so hard to go fast to get off the road. They stick behind me, INCHES from my flimsy little fucking bike, in their fuckin van, screaming at me the entire way.

"GO FASTER COW, YOU COULD USE TO LOSE WEIGHT. MOO MOO."

Who in their fuckin right mind feels that's ok!? How the fuck were you raised to think it's ok to chase a girl IN A VAN and yell insults at her weight while she's ON HER BIKE!!

And I'm pissed at myself for being too fuckin scared and angry I didn't fuckin do anything. I kept going into a park with people after they left, too scared to go dock the bike immediatly and go home.
