Indulge in the rich flavors of German cuisine with this wunderbar Pork Schnitzel topped with a savory Mushroom Gravy Jager Sauce. The crispy exterior and tender pork, paired with the creamy mushroom sauce, create a delightful dining experience.
Ingredients: 4 pork loin chops, boneless. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 eggs. 1 cup breadcrumbs. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1 onion, finely chopped. 8 oz mushrooms, sliced. 1/4 cup butter. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 2 cups beef or vegetable broth. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 2 tbsp parsley, chopped. 1 tbsp lemon juice.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven up to 400F 200C. Add salt and pepper to the pork loin chops. Cover each pork chop with breadcrumbs, then coat it in flour, then egg, and then egg wash. Put vegetable oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium-high heat. Cook the pork chops in a pan until both sides are golden brown. Put them on a baking sheet and heat them up in the oven. Put butter in the same pan and cook chopped onion until it turns clear. Cook until soft after adding the sliced mushrooms. To make a roux, stir in flour. To make it smooth, slowly whisk in the broth and heavy cream. Keep cooking until the sauce gets thicker. Add salt, pepper, lemon juice, and chopped parsley to the mushroom gravy to make it taste better. Put the mushroom gravy on top of the crispy pork schnitzel before serving. Serve your favorite sides with this great German dish!
