18. "Friends don't look at each other the way you two do."
Asmo had been incredibly bored lately. The drama at RAD and in magazines couldn't seem to satiate his desire for gossip. So Asmo decided to make his own.
The first thing he had to do was to pick a target.
This was easy enough. When he was at dinner that night, MC kept making it incredibly obvious that they had a crush on Beel. So his brother would be the perfect target, but he didn't want MC to get hurt because of his boredom.
That is when Asmo saw it. Beel set aside some of his Newt Jerky and gave it to MC. That was Beel's favorite snack, so there was no doubt that he also had a small crush.
Operation: Setup was a go.
Asmo watched and waited for the perfect moment, which just so happened to be during movie night.
He watched as Beel fed MC nearly an entire bowl of popcorn. Beel keeps smiling at them every time they took a bite. While MC kept sneaking glances at his brother whenever they got the chance.
Asmo wanted to puke with how sickeningly sweet they were being. When he was nearly at his breaking point, Beel stood up, "I am going to the kitchen to get more snacks."
This was Asmo's chance to act, "I'll come with you, dear brother."
Asmo trails behind Beel checking behind him to make sure they were alone before he spoke, "So Beel, what do you think about MC."
Beel froze in front of the microwave with his five bags of popcorn and mulled the question over in his mind before answering, "They're a good friend."
Beel went back to his cooking making Asmo huff.
"Beel, Friends don't look at each other the way you two do."
At Asmo's words Beel froze again, "They don't?"
A scoff comes out of Asmo's throat, "No they don't. You love them. Everyone can see it. Well everyone but MC."
Beel turned and stared at his younger brother, "I lover them...?" A smile crosses his face at the thought, "I love them..."
Slowly his face falls and panic crosses his eyes, "I love them."
Without hesitantation, Beel runs out of the kitchen with Asmo hot on his trail yelling, "MC!"
Beel runs in picking up MC and holding them to his chest, "MC. I think I love you."
Operation: Setup was a success.
