Am I missing something (?)

I haven't read the knb manga in a long time, nor have I seen the full anime in a while but where does this concept come from that Akashi's love language is money? In fact, where did the concept that he is all about cash and "I can pay a private plane for us to travel to Paris tonight" came from?, the boy was embarrassed to arrive at school in a limousine cause he said that the people were going to laugh at him. xD

In almost every fic that I have read, either is in Spanish or English they use this idea, soooooo
