League of Legends 2020 World Championship Finals: Honoring Legends
Make them remember you.
i kid, of course. g2 knows what g2 is doing. there IS method to their madness. but it’s gonna look like chaos for a while as caps and miky find their groove and enable each other’s memelord tendencies in a feedback loop of swiftly escalating goofy decisions. whether it’s dominant or messy, g2 is gonna be a treat to watch this year.
also yes i know doublelift is reformed and he’s matured and grown as a player and as a person but he’s still the team’s resident cocky shithead and when you pair that with corejj’s perfectly calm shot-calling and chill streams and support advice videos it’s still a pretty sharp contrast. as for the FPX botlane, they’re kind of a sleeper hit that’s all synergy.
(and while hyli does have the best worried cat frown, and rekkles is the rock that fnatic has been tethered to for years, it’s hyli’s wild carry-support plays that always strike me about that particular duo. just ban pyke if he’s in the lobby y’all.)
other duos that were considered:
sneaky+smoothie (the botlane that everyone misses)
zven+mithy (skilled, but also chokers)
teddy+effort (”hey. hey effort.” “what.” “could a parrot that was old enough run for president” “...it’s 3 AM” “yeAH BUT WHAT IF THOUGH”)
uzi+ming (try to keep up, ming)
cody sun+stunt (besties)
i didn’t forget them, i’m just lazy
