There was a moment today where one of the girls was in TEARS because she said she forgot the whole dance. It absolutely broke my heart because I honestly could NOT tell if she did or not. She rallied for her next dance and killed it on stage. This self consciousness, self awareness, and ability to push through to do perform is so incredible to see at such a young age. Since I teach mostly hip hop, I don't get to see the girls do other styles very often. It's so great going to convention and watching these kids push their boundaries!! It's also so fun t go back to the very first convention/competition I ever competed at! It's so inspiring to see them absorb new material and styles!
