We are proud to announce the release party for our 4th multimedia group exhibition, FUTRO FANTASTIC : VISIONARIES.  The driving inspiration for the show is the idea of inspiration itself, with artists using the question: "What Moves You?" as a prompt for their work.  Continuing the mission of the Fantastic series, Visionaries will be a multifaceted approach to gallery exhibition and performance.  It will also serve as release party for FUTRO MAG 4.1, our 9th issue in print.

Featured visual artists showing work: Jacob Markrof, Chris Diana-Peebles, Lara Hart, Alex Boyce, Sean Sullivan, and Danny Diana-Peebles.

Along with the above artists, Futro Mag 4.1 features contributions from: Yu Suda, Gina Altamura, Aaron Chapman, Leigh Feldman, Otomeza, The Ripper,  Galen Malcolm, Karen Maeda, Manny Reyes, and more.

FUTRO FRIDAY

Here’s a photo recap from the FUTRO MAG 3.2 release party we had at Future Shock last week.  Thank you to everyone who was involved and to everyone who came out, and to Gigantic Brewery, Viso, and Townshend’s Tea Liquor for their donations.  

The door that Grape God is painting in these photos is for the Right 2 Dream Too homeless community in downtown Portland.  You can see the finished product at their camp on W. Burnside and 4th.  We donated $100 for the door to support their cause. Check out their site to learn about all the goodness they do in this city.  

Glenn Waco and Abyss Infinite brought watted out food for thought.  It was a way cool to have them both bless the mic in the same night.  And big thanks to Koolaid for carrying the vibes throughout the night on such short notice, (Lamar had to cancel last minute).  

Diverse community coming together in various forms of artistic expression.  THIS is what FUTRO is about.
