He's the most dramatic bitch in the world.
“The people who don’t want him to do well in life try to unsettle him from the outside, but he’s mentally strong and doesn’t think about that."
“People don’t see the huge amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, and I’m proud of what he’s achieved." Ughh this poet can be the biggest Yamal supporter but god forbid they have to share a room together 😭

One Of Our Own💙
chewing through the walls about this interview:
“I think I’m most excited about kind of proving people wrong. I think people have really put us down. I was actually talking to (Sean) Monahan about our lineup. We’ve got a pretty deep team and I think people are really underestimating us. That’s not a bad thing, either. I think we’re going to surprise people.”
“We’ve been training together (Suzuki and Slafkovsky) for the last couple of weeks, skating together. So it’s been a lot of fun getting to know him and all the other prospects. He’s a great guy … he’s a lot of fun to be around. On the ice he’s a lot bigger than I imagined. I think he’s doing the right things. He’s working really hard so he’s going to come into camp pretty ready and we’ll see how that shapes up for the lines. The one thing that I really noticed is that he likes to pass. He’s not looking to just shoot the puck every time. He wants to make plays, he wants to get to the net. So I think that would complement us really well. Obviously, we’re all going to have to play good for Marty to put us on a line together, so we’ll see what happens in the future.”
“I learned a ton from Shea. Just the way he handled himself in the rink, away from the rink, how he interacts with all the players — from the older guys to the younger guys. He did such a good job of taking me in when I first came to the team. Just someone to look up to right away. Just his presence in the room — when to speak up or when to do something with your actions. Stuff like that … just learning from Shea was a ton of fun for me and I still keep in touch with him today. So I’m always going to have him behind me.”
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love this boy 🖤💛🖤💛
