you playing fo4 made me reinstall it with that same wistful nostalgia and oops i also am deep in the sauce. start me up really is a gamechanger--i did so much of my own re-writing and work for my character back in the day to make a story that wasn't 'Oh No I'm A Mom' and being able to actively play in that game world now is fantastic! (i love the robot detective but my weakness is the unromanceable pathological liar, oops)

so far i'm playing a west point girl-turned-activist who campaigned against nuclear escalation before the war. when she woke up, she realized her prophecies had come to pass, so she became a sharpshooting drifter looking for meaning in her new world. i'm loving the disillusionment that the sarcastic conversation choices give her, especially since the full dialogue interface lets me read them first.

as far as deacon, i've only done one of the railroad's main quests, but i'll listen to arguments in his favor all day. he seems like he'd pair well with characters who would either be his straight man or serve his nonsense back at him. i can't decide which i like more. there sure are a lot of dead wives and girlfriends in this game, though. i feel like i should bake cookies and host a deacon-nick support group.

gf and i went to see guardians of the galaxy vol. 2 and it was fantastic! she even cried a bit towards the end. (she also did my red eyeshadow which i think looks cute af)
