I just thought it was boring I dunno why cause I’ve read literally all of his other manga but I couldn’t get past the first volume or so everyone else always tells me how much the love it too
my dude i highly suggest rereading it from the beginning erasing your thoughts about the first time you tried to read it and dont stop till you finish it and then watch the movie because its also real good i hope you like it in the end i feel like its a manga that like everyone needs to read

Tbh Punpun is like 140+ chapters so there’s a bigger chance of getting engrossed in the story and characters. Solanin never kept my attention though. It’s the only Asano manga I dropped. I might pick it up again though.
this is the wildest this is the first i've heard of anyone dropping solanin like its amazing i've read it multiple times and its my favorite manga of all time its the most i've felt like emotionally connected to a story i love all of the characters and it always makes me very upset but has the greatest message and ending and has so many great things connected to like its movie and the song from it rules i think it's asano's best work imo
