One thing that bugged me for a long time was whether Tenna did or didn't have a bent antenna, because I could have sworn he canonically had a wonky one, but every time I looked at a screenshot, both were in perfect condition. It took going through his catalogue of animations to notice a pattern with them.

He's gotta be putting up a front, keeping it straight for the camera-- which is a loaded sentiment, given the everything.

In any case, there are only a handful of poses in which Tenna's namesake isn't perky and upright-- with a major exception in Feature Presentation, which I'll get to later. Those include: his standard shocked sprite, his battle sprite (which is mirrored, so the wrong antenna is damaged), both 'holding his head' sprites, the shocked 'up on one foot' sprite (again, mirrored), the marathon animation, and 'actively being cleaved.' Each of these has a commonality: the antenna seems to revert when he's in a circumstance where he can't keep up an act. Whether it's legitimate shock, stress getting to him, or being physically attacked, he stops putting in the effort to pass as undamaged.

Then there's Feature Presentation, which almost seems to invalidate the above, since Tenna's shown with the bent antenna off and on-- but I think that's related to the 'the video was edited to splice Spamton out' theory. Due to the TV Time Logo having a bent antenna, we can see that Tenna didn't used to be self conscious about it, and it's probably a comparatively recent development, coupled with his fear of being obsolete. So, with that in mind, we can assume that any footage where he holds it straight is new (ex: "Coming straight from your house"), and any where we see the bend is old (ex: "Never glooby") -- with one exception.

And I think this is one of the saddest examples of the lot.

We know for a fact that this is current day Tenna, since a) he's bothering to hold his antenna up at the end and b) the scene fades directly from the pre-rendered video to his in-game sprite. He starts with the damaged antenna, bends down to gesture, and when he springs back up, has both in pristine condition. There's no way he's relaxed in this moment, content to be himself-- which only leaves one option. He was nervous at the very beginning, and then steeled himself to put on a show for the lightners.
