in that british interview that came out yesterday I saw others saying that finn said he’s currently writing new songs and I’m just like ooooh because they will def be inspired by his time filming because it was a whole huge formative and important year of his life that just happened and if he’s writing now then there’s no way a lot of the material isn’t directly influenced or outright about his thoughts, feelings and experiences during that time. I can’t wait to hear it!

Same, he's been pretty open about missing his time on ST set with the cast, so it's got to play a part with his new songs, surely! He did say in the interview he wants it to me more humorous which, I don't exactly know what that means. Like, comedy songs? I didn't understand that part.

I'm not sure, I've lost track of which songs he's spoken about tbh; hasn't it been the songs that have a music video accompanying them that he's gone into a detail about? Maybe not though, if anyone wants to chime in with the information!

this is why I don’t believe wholesale what finn says about his music or the inspo of the songs cause in the one interview a few days ago he says he wrote two of the songs while filming then in the one that came out yesterday he said all of them were written prior basically in that chunk of like a ton of songs he wrote which woulda been prior to filming so it’s like…. whatever u say Mr pretty eyes lol. I just know that when I see lyrics like in the song Wait that says “I can’t sleep in. I think he’s not exactly lying per se, I think he’s being honest about inspos in terms of childhood etc, but I also don’t think he’s being 100% truthful across the board cause some of these lyrics are a little uhhhh (unless he doesn’t realize a lot of his lyrics about mundane things are incredibly romantic and or sexual sounding ???)and then he can’t seem to keep straight what he wrote and when and it’s like ok. I give up. Hate me if you want, it’s how I feel. it’s all incredibly confusing and contradictory to me

Honestly, Finn contradicts himself a lot, I don't know if he regrets revealing some things so backtracks, but yeah, I take what he says with a pinch of salt because he'll no doubt say something different in a new interview lol.

nah I wanna know what songs he wrote while filming I am curious. I watched the interview and he very clearly and confidently said two songs so I am like hmmmmmnn which ones … I’m assuming they are on the album because if they didn’t make it on the album it wouldn’t necessitate even mentioning them on the interview while talking about the album so anyways I wanna tinhat shit so Imma hope You is one because it’s lyrically sus lol

Yeah the lyrics do seem like they are indicating some type of feelings towards someone & if this was indeed the song he wrote during filming then ... 👀

But yeah, it just seems to be 'You' that's been mentioned the most here, like I said before, if anyone else wants to chime in with their theories as to what the other song could be then the floor is yours.

I don't think that one Cosmo interviewer bought it, either. She was like, "Oh, that's so interesting, it sounded to me like it was romantic based on the following very romantic lyrics. Guess I was wrong 🤭"
