Drummxng & Fxrty Five
em and denisa are pretty much the reason I’m still on tumblr. after a long battle with a toxic tumblr user and her constant and unyielding barrage of anon hate, I was ready to give up. I was ready to simply delete my entire blog and everything I’d worked on for nearly half a year all because one person didn’t like me. Em and Denisa really helped me through that and I’m so blessed to have them in my life. I thank my lucky stars for them as often as I can. They are always there to support me when I’m down and even remind me to do things like go to the bank. I don’t know if they caught on, but they helped me through a very very deep depression one that I wasn’t entirely sure I was going to get out of. It was the little things, like asking how I was doing, and shooting me a message telling me to go to bed that really made everything seem a little bit more worthwhile. Even when things looked like they couldn’t get any better. And now? They’re both contemplating leaving tumblr because of all of the hatred and the bullying. In fact, Em nearly quit today because I got a submission from one of the confession blogs fat shaming me. But it was the overwhelming outcry of support and love that I got that convinced her to hold on just a little bit longer. Em and Denisa are so valuable to not only the Doctor Who roleplay community but to the entire roleplay community holistically. I can’t even imagine it without them. This is my call to action: send in positivity posts every single day. Even if it’s short or for someone you don’t know—-I know, I myself need to see that the tumblr rp community still has some good souls left. Challenge yourself to remember, set reminders on your cellphone, tell yourself—hey, it’s time to do something nice for someone. It isn’t hard and it might be a little cheesy but the entire roleplay community is falling apart and it’s our faults. Em and Denisa are only two of the BRILLIANT and beautiful souls that are being chased away by all the hatred and negativity in the roleplay community. I’d hate to see them go. Because once all of the nice and genuinely good people are gone? What are we left with? Nothing anger and shade. And that’s just not cool. So thank you so much Em and Denisa for being so important to me and for being important to this community as a whole. I know I love you. And many many other people do too.
