Photomanipulation: Animal Journey - Pegasus
The Core idea behind this work was to portrait animals in real scenarios and landscapes with a twist. The Photomanipulation in this Surreal set of pictures portraits animals either participating in fantastic activities or portrait twisted, almost mythical qualities in the anatomy of the animal itself. The flying zoo seems to have escaped in hot balloons and ended in a Saharan landscape. Conversely one could asume that some playful mind has put the animals here in this cartoony scenario resembling the Dali’s interpretations of surreal paintings.
Both Surrealist Pictures subliminally imply the desire or idea of flying. Walking animals are shown in scenes where the common denominator is the explicit or implicit ability to fly. The Pegasus, the mythical creature of Ancient Greek tales is here represented by a beautiful Arabian Stallion. The amazing and almost artistic pose helps the viewer imagine a take off attempt.
