Meet @G_Duff ,talks about hot mixtape #FrozenRoses
When did you start your journey to Hip Hop?
Duff: I started rapping at the age of 11. But decided to take it serious at the age of 17.
Who are your major Hip Hop influences?
Duff: Honestly, Trey Songz is the only artist I actually look up to and admire. I watched him while he was just a underdog and raise to the top by grinding.
If you could choose any artist to work with, who would it be?
Duff: Trey Songz & Drake
What events or shows have you performed in? What are some upcoming shows/events you have planned?
Duff: I've performed at a few clubs. My biggest to date would have to be one I had in Brooklyn for Drahma Magazine.
We’ve recently listened to your latest mixtape called “Frozen Roses” with R&B artist Sequence Clark. The mixtape was well put together; the chemistry was awesome. This sound like it should be on the radio. What made you guys decide to collab together?
Duff: The record we did was "Make A Movie"...we didn't plan on doing a whole mixtape but the feedback was so great on that one song that I kept going back to him for more songs lol...and eventually I just decided to throw them all on ONE mixtape.
How did you come up with the name “Frozen Roses”?
Duff: Frozen Roses is like my own made up term basically. Roses are known for dying soon after you get them but a frozen rose would stay alive and kept its beautiful form without aging or getting old. I compare my music to a frozen rose, it'll keep it's natural sound and never get old...as most would would say, it will never die.
Do you have any upcoming projects?
Duff: I'm actually working on the #LEMMEHOLDATBEATGANG mixtape which will consist of me flowing over songs that have already been used. (remixes), dropping on Halloween. Trey Songz gave me permission to start the movement and I'm going to run with it lol. After that it will be the "No Secrets" EP.
