first and foremost, we would like to preface this announcement by thanking everyone who has shown an interest in our place: during opening, throughout, and even now. it has been a nerve wracking experience on our end but one that we are truly enjoying! we are so happy to see how this place is thriving and growing, and we hope to see so much more in the future.
to continue, we have been made aware of the closure of another university roleplay on our same platform. we are very sad to see them go, and hope the best for the admins and their members. because of this, we have also noticed an influx of new applications from people wanting to find a new home for their muses and we are very grateful that they are choosing us. with this however, there is some concern. with the amount of people moving to our place, truthfully, we fear that pre-established friend groups / connections will settle in and make it difficult for others to react. when joining with a muse who is already very established ( and with their friends ) , it could inevitably cause issues when it comes to socializing with others. we do not want to point an accusatory finger, and we are genuinely wanting to meet all of your muses. this is simply something we, personally, have seen happen in other collectives and we are confident to say that this is something that could make or break a writing space.
although both roleplays are fairly similar due to the university theme, they are also both extremely different in the way of a premise and the way we, the admins, run things. we encourage these moving muses to read through all of our guidelines and details to ensure this is the correct place for you and your muse as they differ from the other roleplay. as of now, we have received a lot of applications that are moving oc's and we are so excited to meet all of you! however, we deeply encourage everyone to portray something a little different, as well, and be open to interacting with new and existing muses in the collective.
