Trashy Gossip Time
*don't take this post too serious, ok 😅
Everyone who was romantically linked to Gaddafi somehow and how much I hate them on a scale of 1-20
(1 = no hate, would have a theesome and enjoy it (ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, lol) 20 = would punch this person in the throat if I had the misfortune to meet them)
Key: 🤩 he wants to fuck them 😈 they want to fuck him 😭 they definitely fucked
10, Gamal Nasser (President of Egypt)
Eesh this one is complicated. Like a lot of the others on the list, I have mixed feelings of fondness and jealousy. It's almost exactly equal, so that's why I made him number 10.
Either Muammar saw him as a mentor and father figure or he was gay for him, everyone has their own opinion. But what's indisputable is that he worshipped the ground Nasser walked on and modeled his whole career after him. Why I love Nasser: because without him, Gaddafi may never have had the inspiration to mount his Revolution, and the guidance to survive its aftermath. Nasser managed to reign in Gaddafi's hot-headness just enough to help him survive his first year and get a foothold as Libyan Leader. Even more noble of him, he made him keep Libya when Gaddafi was simping so hard for him he would've just thrown the whole country at Nasser's feet. Why I hate Nasser: because I know there is nothing I could ever do to make Gaddafi look at me the way he looks at him.
9. Fathia al Nuri
His first wife. They had one son, then broke up. Her uncle plotted against him and had to go to jail for a little while. Family connections are a big thing in Libya, so if he couldn't trust her family, he couldn't stay with her, even though she didn't do anything wrong herself. I don't know her well enough to form any opinions. She seemed nice, and Gaddafi said "she is a good woman but she just wasn't good for me."
13. Safia Farkash
His second wife. He got her pregnant over and over - seven kids in ten years, but their dynamic on camera is always very distant and often tense. Maybe they married too quickly without getting to know each other and the spark wore off early, but the union was mutually beneficial so they decided to see it through. Which resulted in them just tolerating each other for the next few decades. I don't think they're "in love" in the romantic sense. But Safia was undoubtedly very loyal to him and even if he was sick of looking at her, he didn't feel like he had an excuse to just dump her when she was doing everything a good wife is supposed to. So he was stuck with her.
The way I, personally, feel about her is a mix of both annoyance and heartwrenching pity.
Annoyance because:
she gets on my nerves, idk why, she just does
yes, I admit it, I'm jealous that she got to be with him and have his kids and stuff
get the vibe from her that she was the "Uptown girl" who got with the guy from the wrong side of the tracks, and that even though she loves him, she subconsciously feels like he is of a lower social status than her and always will be, no matter how great his place in Libyan history.
And heartwrenching pity, because
having to watch your husband and half of your kids die, I don't think I would have the strength
husband being a rockstar who always cheats on you with everyone else on this list, and even if by some miracle he wasn't actually doing that, you'd always be worrying that he was
if he got bored of me that quickly and thought I was annoying (which he probably would, because I AM pretty annoying) I would have felt so devastated. It would be like a living death. (To be clear I'm talking about him specifically, not just any husband) so I hope for her sake she was never as in love with him as I am, but I'm sure it still hurt.
The one thing I genuinely love Safia for is the very plausible rumor that she saved his life from an assasination attempt when he was in the hospital for appendicitis. I will kiss the feet of anyone who ever saved his life, no matter how annoying they are otherwise.
4. Genevieve Chauvel, Vanya Kewley, Adam Curtis, Francois Lochon.
These are photographers and journalists who played up the seductive side of him and took some of the most gorgeous photos in existence. So I owe all of them a great deal. (Adam was mildly obsessed with him from the early 70s until the present day, and always tries to psycho-analyze him. Not the only journalist to do that but the way Gaddafi and him interacted in that first interview… 🤔)
18. Habib Bourguiba (President of Tunisia)
Perhaps the most toxic person here. Always get really creepy molestor vibes from him but it's not just like the normal people who find Gaddafi desirable and can't keep their hands off him, with Bourguiba it's more like he's trying to assert his dominance. Like the textbook sexual harassment that people have endured in the workplace and elsewhere -more about power than sex. In the early 70s the two of them were trying to create an alliance between their two countries (Gaddafi's brainchild as USUAL) but Bourguiba was late for the meeting so Gaddafi decided to go over his head and present the proposal directly to the audience like it was a done deal. Bourguiba was pissed OFF and never forgave him for that. I think he finds Gaddafi hot, (like anyone would) but at the same time hates him, envies him for his popularity, and wishes he could put him in his place.
3. (L-R) Jose Zapatero, Some Lady in the gift shop in Venezuela, Hafez al-Assad, Houari Boumédiène
(and well, Nasser, but we already talked about him)
I don't know if there was a "relationship" per se, the only thing these people have in common is they all made him hard in public, for which I am eternally grateful to them and the photographer who happened to be there to capture it.
14. ImELdA mArCoS!!! (First lady and politician, Phillipines)
In full disclosure. I envy this f**kin b*tch so bad. First for the shoe collection, then she had to steal my boyfriend on top of it.
Well, the official story is that she went to Libya to convince Gaddafi to stop supporting a rebel group that was against her husband's and her government. Maybe she was just a good negotiator but the rumor is that Gaddafi was enchanted with her.
When some journalist asked her "Mrs Marcos, did you actually sleep with Colonel Gaddafi?" she only said "what a question to ask a girl!" Legend.
7. Nicolae Ceausescu
What even is this? Why do you guys always ship them? I mean, I'm glad you do, I just don't understand where the idea came from. Just because they were nice to each other, or am I missing something?
8. Joseph Broz Tito
See Above.

Female journalists...
The first time I read the rumor "Gaddafi used to trade interviews for sex" I deadass said to myself "ok, but why did he want to be interviewed so badly? Just to get his message out or...?" Eventually it dawned on me they might have meant the other way around.
15.Renate Poßarnig (Author of Enfant Terrible of World Politics)
- out of all the people on this list, she is the one that hurts me the most deeply, even worse than Gamal Nasser and Imelda Marcos. Why? Because she had the chance I dream about every day, he asked her to be his third wife (allegedly), and she turned him down. Now I know that she didn't love him like I do, and everyone is different so she had every right to reject him. But she was so damn conniving. She wanted to score an interview so bad, that she pretended to like him, and worse yet, to UNDERSTAND him, way more than she actually did. She didn't understand him at ALL. She was just physically attracted to him (mildly at that), not emotionally or mentally. But she did manipulative things like staring straight into his eyes after her colleague had warned her before going there "never look a Libyan man in the eye or he'll think you're madly in love with him" and she accepted all his gifts and went on all these camping trips and even asked him during one of their first meetings, "are you lonely, Muammar?" Which he was, of course, so he confided in her and ended up convincing himself that she really cared about him and understood him and that they were a lot alike. And then she muses (not to him, to her readers) "I don't know, am I really just like him? Maybe I am." No. No you're not, you dumb b*tch, shut up and fuck off back to Austria 🙄
17. Jana Wendt (TV Journalist)
Well first of all, in her defense, she is a raging c*nt to everyone, not just him. I guess that's like, her hard-hitting journalism style or sumthin. She was sooo mean to him! 😢 but I think he was a little turned on by all the negging (note to self...) So, late that night he invited her to come over for a private meeting. She thought it was a booty-call and panicked and fled the country. You could have just said no, he would have respected that, you didn't have to be all dramatic.
16. Marie Colvin (war correspondent)
I don't know, I just hate her like any typical insidious western liberal journalist. Muammar was SO sweet to her and maybe had a mild crush on her (he complimented her eyes and he seems to have got into his head that they were friends, but she talks about him like he was a weirdo and a sucker. Also she CLAIMS he kept trying to seduce her) Her one redeeming quality is she documented what brand of cologne he wore and how his whole office smelled like it. I'd been searching for that info for years so I could buy it and spray my library with it … so now all my Gaddafi books smell like him and I couldn't have done it without her. Hell yes! Thank you for your contribution to humanity Marie
5. Stina Lundberg
… she's not that bad tbh, but she kept flirting with him shamelessly for the whole interview and he kind of liked it but I think he was also feeling awkward about it like chill lady we're on camera here

6. Huda Ben Amir (Mayor of Benghazi)
We don't talk about Huda. I can try to pretend this lady was not his real life mistress but I feel like there's a 99.99999 chance she was. Then he married her off to some other guy. I'd like to say more about her, but ya know, we don't talk about Huda.
2. The Bodyguards
Ok… we ALL know people always speculate that these girls were some sort of sex harem for him. I don't think that was their main purpose at ALL, but at the same time, there was probably some overlap. With him being around them all the time and being on the road together on long trips and most of them being crazy about him, I wouldn't be surprised if "things" happened occasionally. I love these women because like I said anyone who saved his life or protects him is a hero to me
11. Galina Kolotnytska (Ukrainian Nurse)
Why does Wikileaks always ship them? 🤷♀️
Ok so this is Gaddafi's personal nurse that a lot of people assumed was also his mistress (2004 until the war.) She and her daughters vehemently deny that anything unprofessional was going on with her and Gaddafi. I don't really know one way or the other. Her and all the other nurses, it's the same situation as the bodyguards. I don't think they were just for show, I think they actually had jobs working for him, but I can't rule out that once in a while some of them could have fooled around with him. Well if they did I'm jealous (plus I feel like he low-key has a nurse fetish, even Safia was a nurse when they first met) but I like them because they kept him healthy. Still. Galina gets on my nerves.
12. Mariam Nour
"I'm a witch and a Christian" (just kidding, that's what the rats tried to insult her with once and I found it amusing sorry) Anyway she is a New Age Hippie, Essential Oils and yoga type of person from Lebanon who is a big admirer of Gaddafi and had him as a guest on her show once. She was being very handsy with him. He was polite about it but he looked like he felt really awkward at the same time. Libyans tell me she's just a sweet old woman and get your mind out of the gutter, but I get the impression she wanted him bad. Am I just projecting? I guess you would have to see the video and decide for yourself.
20. Leeza, Leeza, Leeza
Condoleeza Rice. (American secretary of state) Just why?? I mean, I guess you can't help who you are attracted to but wtf was this all about? I hate her because of her politics and her direct involvement with the Iraq war obviously. I don't see anything about her to like. But I guess men don't really care about that, if a man's attracted to someone, she/he could be Satan and he'd still hit it One thing I find peculiar though, if he loved her so much why refuse to shake her hand? It's either got to be: A. He was so nervous he just forgot. Like when you're all flustered in front of your crush you keep accidentally doing awkward things by mistake B. He actually didn't like her that much but he made those songs and photo albums and stuff just trying to flatter her and butter her up hoping she would fall in love with him (like any NORMAL person would have in his presence) and he could use that for political leverage
The media always said "he didn't shake her hand because men and women can't shake hands in Islam" well if that were it, then why is he always holding hands and pawing all over the arms of the next two people on this list?
19. Yulia Tymoshenko
Ukrainian president. I think that she, like Rice, was kinda right wing. So it's weird that Muammar would even like her but like I said above most men don't care. Heard sooo many rumors about her and him but mostly just from my friends, not the media, oddly enough. If they were true (which it seems like they very well may be) I can't have hate for her for that alone, just average every day jealousy. But! Guess what this dumb bitch did next. From 2008 to 2010 she was happy to take his money for her stupid presidential campaign and have hot sex in the tent with him while her husband watched from the cuck chair, but all of a sudden in 2011 she was like "Gaddafi is a dictator and he needs to step down" (she might have even said some worse things I forget) but then five minutes later, SHE was forced "by her own people" to step down, and ended up having to go away to jail for a little while. You can bet I laughed my ass off over it.
1. Best Kemigisha (Queen Mother of Toro)
There is all this weird lore about her, like that her son (the Boy King) is secretly Gaddafi's child and that's why he doted on him so much, and that her dead husband put a curse on Gaddafi and so on and so forth. (Idk but I wish I! could rub my boobs on his arm it's not faaaaaiiiirrrr)
But the great thing about her is that she did not turn against him in 2011. If you weren't there, it's hard to convey how many former friends and allies betrayed Gaddafi as soon as the going got tough. Only a small handful of public figures stood by him with material or even moral support. The propaganda and political pressure to turn against him was so effective and so powerful. Any person who had the courage to stand by him in spite of all that, meant so much to me. Queen Best was very outspoken against NATO and said she was casting protection spells on Gaddafi. 🥺 Besides that, she is a great person, she's always advocating for women's rights, etc. Unlike some people on this list, it makes perfect sense that he would like her.
P.S. I probably forgot a bunch of people so if you want to ask me about anyone else, feel free to drop a comment or an ask
