alm’s characterization peaked in awakening. he really felt like a true foil to celica and someone who had to unpack the ideals instilled in him by living in rigel. in echoes all his edges got sanded off and he turned into a gary stu that’s always correct and can do no wrong

Gaiden is a bad video game and Echoes isn't much better. The world map and dungeons having nearly random encounters is one of the worst mechanics in the series, especially when the maps are so boring.

i hate alm because he killed duma. like, yes, duma made some mistakes. his ideals were taken a bit too far sometimes. but he had good intentions and most of his thousands of years of rule was fine. it's not his fault degeneration is a thing. he deserved at least another thousand years of ruling humans.
