Tbh I am not really an understander of “haters” even for those who genuinely deserve it (especially since Women Bad People hate tends to become a misogyny breeding ground). But like. I think of musical artists I can’t stand and. Like imagine if I was a regular attendee of a subreddit dedicated to hating the relationship of a 5sos member and his partner. Imagine if every time Hozier put out an album my blog posted all the lyrics I thought were cringe and did breakdowns of everything I thought was Problematic about them. Like, even if I said something like “well Hozier lesbians have been horribly transphobic towards me!” (true fact) I feel like people would still be like “ok well you’re still trying to force this, why are you so obsessed with him” and they would be RIGHT.

This is all Very Normal when it comes to Taylor Swift though, as I watch swifties and non-swifties post lyrical breakdowns and celebrity gossip with equal fervor.

This is so true, and I feel like even my friends with sometimes feel the need to let me know they hated the new album like this is useful information for me? But at least then I can say rip to you but I'm different and they won't double down or anything, some people dedicated weeks of their lives every release to not only listen to the album but post about it constantly. It was worse with TTPD, I still remember that the "asylum where they raised me" meme was meant to make fun of Taylor instead of understanding the very obvious metaphor in the lyric (growing up in the public eye is hell). And it's always like "I'm not a misogynist but I will be talking about how much I hate Taylor Swift more than truly multibillionaires like Zuckerberg ever". You actually can just keep here name out of your mouth.

I've decided to limit how much time I can use Instagram using my digital wellbeing features because this shit is all over the place on reels and it's making the app a miserable experience for me. It's just... I've always been a lover not a hater, I can't imagine spending so much time and energy on something that actively disturbs me
