I’m honestly really fascinated by the potential ideas of what Gakusha’s life became post the ending of the Envy arc after he’s regained his memories and after he has started searching for Kayo (obviously not realizing she swapped bodies and died). In particular, the hyper specific horrifying concept of him possibly running into Ma, recognizing her appearance and just….getting the most dreadful case of uncanny valley, understanding the woman standing in front of him looks identical to his wife but knowing without a shadow of a doubt that it’s not her, and so he keeps searching for her. Because certainly thats not the same physical body, its a mimic, an expert imposter…something. No way the head on display really was his wife in a different body before death….right??
I actually found a one shot tackling the first half of this concept on Ao3 but its super super short and idk, I wish more people would tackle this idea cause I’d read the hell out of it 😭
