The Key to the Week is Saturn conjunct Mercury on the Galactic Center
7 December 2017 = 7 -12- 2017 = 19 + 19 = 38= 11 master number and we just had the full moon on 11 degrees of Sag and Gemini.
Today we have Mars in Libra sextile Saturn in Sagittarius at 28 degrees. Mars wants to push ahead (for justice, for partnership, for balance) and Saturn in Sagittarius wants to plan carefully, take things slowly for the highest level of the law, the highest philosophical perspective or the most responsible international affiliation or partnership. If action is taken to make this connection, positive things can happen. If it is ignored, nothing will change.
On a personal level Mars can be passion and in Libra it can be a relationship or fairness—a deep passion for what is fair to everyone involved. Saturn is a taskmaster, a disciplinarian, the one who works hard for what comes to him/her, who is responsible and accountable. In Sagittarius, it can mean the highest level of possibilities or things that reach to the ends of the world. So while Mars may want to get a relationship going NOW or to make things fair and balanced for everyone NOW, Saturn is saying, if you’ll hold on, and take it slowly, work hard, learn from your mistakes and do things in a responsible way, you can achieve the world and beyond. It’s about instant gratification vs. seeing the bigger picture and being able to…wait for it. Because it will be worth the wait.
Also, Mercury is conjunct Saturn, it is retrograde, and the energy is on the Galactic Center, the most powerful point in the galaxy. So the Saturn (wait for it) energy is strong. It is powerful, so by waiting, this reward will be that much more amazing. With Mercury retrograde, it is adding to the sense that we should not be fools rushing in where angels fear to tread. Mercury retrograde is a time for reviewing options, re-thinking things, reconnecting with people.
The moon is conjunct the North Node in Leo. Leo is the heart, it’s wanting to be loved, to get attention, and it is also about children, fun, parties, taking risks and enjoying the people and experiences we have. It is also about working on a creative project. The North Node (NN) is the destiny, the purpose, and the moon is our emotions/feelings or where we feel at home and comfortable. So this could mean feeling at home and comfortable, or sharing good times with those we love and feeling at home with it. Feeling loved, loving others, and it touches us deep inside to our sense of safety and security. It could also mean that the thing we should be focused on right now is home, family, those we love, children and being creative and having fun.
The asteroid Ceres is also conjunct the moon and NN in Leo at close to the same degree point. It signifies nurturing, normally with food, so an event with “comfort” food with those we love, possibly a painting party or a party to build gingerbread houses, or decorate for the holidays, make cookies…could be a good choice, and moreover, with the NN there, it is our purpose—to spend creative, pleasant time with loved ones and children with food.
A not-very=positive aspect is the Part of Fortune in Libra being square to Pluto in Capricorn. Part of Fortune is the area in which we are fortunate – and that is partnerships/relationships. Pluto in Capricorn is the government, the authority, the one in charge, who is ultimately responsible. Also, Pluto can mean drastic change. The square, 90 degree angle, means that the authority is challenging or creating tension in fortunate relationships, or potential good fortune through what is fair or just, or good fortune we could have with those partnerships we have or make. News is that our president is creating tension in the relationships our country has with its allies because of some drastic changes. This could also relate to the boss creating tension related to being fair with “fortune”—what is most beneficial to us—money, position, or other situations that work to our benefit.
We also still have Mars opposing Uranus in Aries—a volatile sign with an unpredictable planet. Mars rules Aries and can be volatile. There are hostile oppositions regarding partnership, relationship, fairness and justice vs. unexpected attacks, unpredictable impulsive action. But Uranus is trine to Saturn and Mercury on the Galactic Center, which can temper those unstable outbursts of impulsive action. Right now Saturn and Mercury have the most power behind them, so we hope that cooler, responsible heads prevail through it all.
