"Seven years after the dramatic events in Anemone Valley, the political situation surrounding magic has reached boiling point within the Empire. At the Seven Winds Academy, however, life goes on undisturbed by outside influences. Here, the students’ biggest worries are exams, job prospects, and who might be taking whom to the New Year’s Gala, but when a curious group of seniors stumble upon a secret hidden within the castle, their priorities for the year change in an instant...
Explore a brand new adventure as a mage student of the Seven Winds Academy and experience a story that can be enjoyed by new and returning players of the series. Choose from three different magical disciplines, and let your choices shape the personality of your character as you navigate school life during a time of great change.
As you uncover the story of Arcadia Fallen II, you will decide how you respond to the people around you and the events that unfold. Tone labels help you avoid unexpected consequences, and choices with significant impact on the story are highlighted. But no matter what you decide to do, there are no 'wrong' choices and no dead ends. Only you can find the path that is right for you."
This is a sequel to the game Arcadia Fallen by Galdra Studios! You can buy it for a variety of platforms from their official website here.
It was a really good game. I haven't played the 1st one since 2022 so I couldn't remember everything so imagine my horror when I go to romance Kim, realised he's from the first game and I put his brother as sacrificing himself for the choice from the first game.
Im so sorry Kim. o7
I liked the characters and the story was interesting but the ending felt like it was a start of chapter 2. It felt weird to end it like that so i hope the game developers make a game continuing that story beat because it was interesting. I wanna see the war and be a part of the resistance.
Either way it was fun I will do another playthrough but after I've played the first game again. I look forward to the developers future games.
Just finished playing Arcadia Fallen II. Bought it around 2:00 pm my time yesterday and played it for a little less than 15 hours straight. No, I did not sleep, but it was 1000% worth it.
(No major spoilers below; just didn't want this to look like a big essay post 😅)
11/10 game. Makes a lot of improvements on the formula crafted in the first game while adding new features as well. I am really bad at the new puzzles, especially since it took me three whole puzzles to realize that there were darker-colored segments on the characters' icons that marked where the connection could go through when they were placed at any junction.
Story was amazing; a step up from the already-engaging stakes of the first game's story in the best way. Won't spoil anything story-wise, but I will say that the connections and references to the first game were plentiful and so nice to recognize, especially when it allowed me to piece together answers to questions left unanswered or unaddressed by the end of the first game.
The only complaint I have, and it's the smallest thing ever, is that we didn’t get to see any other characters from the first game outside of Kim and Ann. Don't get me wrong: I LOVED Kim so much (such a fuckin' sweetheart; he gave me extreme cuteness aggression and made me smile so much) and Ann was a really nice character to see post-Anemone Valley, but I was really hoping to at least hear from or possibly see Victoria or even Michael, especially considering where the story goes. I just want the fanservice. Didn't take away from my enjoyment, by any means; just would've been nice.
I plan on giving myself a couple of days to actually process the story, character arcs, and whatnot before I replay it. My next playthrough will probably be either a Puk or Catherine route.
Romanced Kim, and I 100% recommend doing his route at some point if he isn’t your first choice. Not just for first game fanservice, but just because he is such an enjoyable character. And, like I mentioned above, he's too cute for his own good.
I cannot wait to see what Galdra Studios cooks up next, whether it's Arcadia Fallen III or something entirely new.
I drew some Arcadia Fallen/Arcadia Fallen 2 fanart! Despite there being barley any fandom content for this game, its still one of my favorite games at the moment and I love it dearly <3
Can't wait for the extended demo!
Posting this in the hopes it'll convince me to consider it finished (or figure out something to change beyond tiny changes which I will otherwise fiddle with for days!)
My MC from Arcadia Fallen 2, Yasmin. (They/them, transfemme, Mender.) It took me a while to a, figure out their character and b, know who I wanted them to romance. Figuring out an arc was the thing that let them click in my mind.
In the childhood intro they're outgoing, confident and eager to learn some magic and then get out into the world and go on adventures. They want to be an Illusionist to be able to become invisible and run away, and to control how people see them- unrealistic hopes!
But the school system and knowledge that they'll never really get to decide the shape of their own life really gets them down and by the start of the game they're focused on working hard and fitting in, and otherwise they're quiet and nervous. The events of the game result in that earlier personality coming out- they gradually remember their adventurousness and become a bit more outgoing, until the mid point- which is a breaking point where they almost completely shift from how they were and become angrier as well as more outgoing and driven on doing what needs to be done.
I've also got a piece I've done with their LI, and I have a lot of thoughts on how that evolved too. I need to post that!
I tried to mimic the art style of Arcadia Fallen (both games). Drawn from a sketch found here.
Amazing story! Great characters! Absolutely adorable love routes!
You shape your MC's character. You make decisions that have consequences! You are an alchemist in a world that fears magic! I highly recommend playing Arcadia Fallen!
