“i can take the couch. it’s fine,” she told them as she finished unpacking her bag. she wasn’t happy but she knew better than to pick a fight with her ex, especially when they were in international waters. “just stay on your side of the room and i’ll stay on mine.” that should have been easy enough for both of them to follow.
