In the video the rock formation in the distance is Church Rock

If you listen closely, at the end of this video I'm asking if we're in the way of a balloon that was above us possibly landing. That's not just wind. It's the sound of balloon pilots manning propane above and around us. All of those trucks with trailers belonged to the pilots/crew. Only a handful of non balloon crew folks were in this area.

Postcard views of the El Rancho Hotel in Gallup, New Mexico, circa 1930s-40s.  The Route 66 inn is legendary for the movie stars of classic Hollywood who’ve been guests there.  Their motto, “The charm of yesterday, the convenience of tomorrow” is still displayed above the main entrance.  Motel-style units have been added to the left of the main building.  I’d like to spend a night here one of these days.  Images come from ebay.com.
