Just learnt about this dude Galois, absolutely crazy. so basically, he:

- tries to get into "Ecole Polytechnique", the French school for science at the time, and fails

-publishes several papers on polynomials

-his father dies

-tries again (and fails) to get into the Ecole

-publishes several papers basically founding group theory

-attends a lesser school, gets kicked out and eventually arrested for political beliefs

-died in a duel shortly after he got out of prison

So, I was reading Third From the Son, DOTH, by Faiakishi, and I got to that infamous moment where Galois yells at Leo about his brother being dead and being consumed by crabs at the bottom of the ocean. If in itself the scene of him on the verge of a mental breakdown due to the sadness, confusion and guilt (among other emotions) that thinking about Donatello causes him and his ending brought me strong images, this definitely cements them. As is my custom, I had to use my older sibling's cell phone to draw.

I did my best, don't strangle me too hard. I tried!

I really like this work and its construction, not only of characters, but of worlds. I had made other drawings before, but I didn't dare to upload them. hope you like.

something CRAZY is happening to me

so i am but a simple enjoyer of gay shipping, it brings me joy to no end to apply this lens of analysis to everything i consume

so much so, i do find fun to do it to historical figures i study too

so when i had just found out about galois, i noticed that he was only 2 years younger than charles darwin and that the beagle voyage happened 6 months before his death

this is more than good enough for a fic where galois escapes his destiny by being in the hms beagle for reasons

i forgot all about this because soon after i found out galois already had a soulmate in chevalier and the rest is history

UNTIL LIKE LAST WEEK, when i came back to darwin/galois, thinking i could set my chevalier agenda aside for a moment

and then today i find out darwin and the captain of the beagle are already a ship HOWW

how is it possible im breaking up 2 fake historical ships for this third fake historical ship. i thought nobody even thought of these people like this before, but they have

and i feel so close to humanity when this happens
