How I know about Bangtan
I used to be so shallow in the past. Why are people, mostly my friends attracted into kpop? Korean it’s not international language and it’s hard to you all to understand?! It takes time to learn and understanding the meaning inside.
My stomach hurt when I was giggling, or worse making fun of their idols. If any of you reading this, I deeply apologize. My mind slowly change once I got curious, I want to feel addicted toward something as my friend did. Strange? Sure. I try it into different things, start from series, actresses, until actors. Importantly is musician, band or boyband.
Kpop start caught my attention once my friend discussing about Blackpink, I admitted, back in the day when everything seems plain and boring BP members are quite charming. Even more with their english ability, also dancing! They were gave energetic move in every MV. the concept is cool tho.
Then my journey on discovery of Kpop began, I amazed looking at kpop artist stage presence. It’s insane! Their energy was like transformed into me, despite I watched them through my mobile phone. Ruled the stage and bringing audience to singing along with them. It shown that they were putting all of energies in every performance they attend.
One of my friend, who I knew as an army often told me then how popular BTS is and I should give a try to listen. I’m not curious enough, it caused Army rumor as toxic fandom spread wildly on the twitter. April 2019, BTS released a new song. Catchy tune and cute dance moves made me smile while watching and searching one of BTS member who had bright smile (later I know, it was Jin hehe)
Since then my attention towards them grow up little by little. I found blog post on one of blogger, she wrote about BTS first daesang and how cute they were, shocked after heard their name as a winner. I wondering, why are they act like that? They are phenomenal boy band right? It’s triggering me to look upon their history.
And boom, I came to those bangtan sonyeondan shit for life
Actually it was after 1 month religiously searching, reading and streaming content of Bangtan on the internet. I never felt so amazingly happy looking at boyband win towards big event, or willing to know their old song. Never
My mind usually stuck on main track while came into Kpop, if I liking a new group. BTS is different, they could made me looking and craving for their content. Apparently, from what I see, it’s formed from their strong bond between member and company staff.
Their agency boss known as Hitman Bang also had close relationship to his artist. Which it lead to supportive environment between artist and company. BTS song also hold meaningful value. Each era belong to different fandom, it created awesome stories and the theories behind it is addicting to read.
I completely fell into this hole, bangtan hole.
