I don't like opening gaming figurines.
Well, to me it loses its value. I'd like to preserve it in its original packaging. I've only got one figurine, which is the Big Daddy Rosie figurine in BioShock. No matter how tempting it is to open it, and touch it in all its glory, it's best to not open it.
Because you know why? In probably many years time, maybe a decade or so, or maybe if you reach 50 or something, it would be quite valuable. Fast forward to the year 2050, people would check it out and say "Wow, that thing's probably 50 years old or something!" And no joke, even something like a Big Daddy Rosie figurine would be worth selling at the Antique Roadshow. At that time, you'd probably be walking out with a whole crapload of money. Hundreds and thousands of dollars in your wallet probably!
So what I'm saying is, it's best to keep a figurine in its packaging. You'll end up noticing how much value its worth in many years time :)
