Life Advice Tip #23

If your friend is clearly lying or is saying something you know to be untrue or off in a way, go with it. Don’t expose them in front of the person they’re lying to, unless you’re not good friends or don’t know their motives.

If you’re trying to have a really good lie, try to make it slightly more than a white lie. It works like a charm and you can just say that it was a misunderstanding if you get caught. Also, always have a gameplan or a reliable backup plan. Good luck!

I've been trying to get a better understanding of the "non-performance" side of burlesque.  For me, financial anything has always been a struggle as I want to buy the shiniest, sexiest, most avant garde dress I can find.  Usually this is also the most expensive.  Learning to do things myself has been a tremendous help and some of the best advice I hear time and again from other (more experienced) dancers. 

As for all of the other that goes into a show, (production costs, cast list, venue rental, etc.) I must admit I have been rather spoiled by having someone else coordinate for me.  Heck, I didn't even think about potentially having security costs.  I have finally found some straightforward, easy to understand advice.   Thank goodness.
