Just trying out some different looks for Boom!Sonic. I’ve already done the brown gloves and they looked kinda nice.
Recently though I’ve been watching a ton of Robot Wars and I’ve seen the huge amounts of warning tape that they used for the graphics and to re-enforce the safety rules. Then I thought - “Hey, it’s a kind of tape, isn’t it? Warning tape?”
Hence this pic. It’s basically a redraw of the one I posted a few days ago, but at a different angle and with the cosmetic changes to the gloves.
The Pointless Picture
Boredom took over my mind so I went and searched for some episodes of my favourite gameshows. This piece shall be part of a series of Sonic pics inspired by my favourite shows.
Number four already? I'm blazing a trail! Anyways, here we got Sonic with a load of counters. But not just any old counters. These counters are very important as the less there are, the lower your score ... and that's good! What's the show where less is better? Pointless!
A favourite that's been in my heart since it was launched. I still remember the early days where they had five couples, you had to think of an answer from the top of your head for every round and the graphics on the big screen were really blurry. And look where they are now!
There are follow-up pics coming soon for this one, since me and LegenofSuperLinkario were discussing it today. We were thinking of Boom!Characters to insert into each of the respective roles of the show ... and the follow-up pics will showcase our decisions. Be warned though - I am finally going to attempt drawing Eggman so I do apologize if he looks awful. Don't hurt me Doctor!
I like the BG since it references the opening credits and I seriously love how Sonic's pose came out. All smug and looking down at you as his answer causes the points to drain away. I wonder ... could a question have come up about him and his friends and he answered with a character we don't know very well? Like 'Wild Cat' or 'Mike the Ox'?

Tails, The Chase is on!
Boredom took over my mind so I went and searched for some episodes of my favourite gameshows. This piece shall be part of a series of Sonic pics inspired by my favourite shows.
The third entry into the series has not one, but two characters in it. Tails goes up against 'The Eggman' (not shown since I still can't draw him) in an epic clash of brains for the high offer of $50,000. With Sonic ready to host and laugh at ridiculous questions and answers, it has be The Chase.
The god of quiz shows. Well, the modern day quizzes at least. This was inevitable. You didn't think I'd leave one of the best shows out, did ya?
The background was a pain, but I did it. And it turned out rather nice. I chose our UK studio over the US since the US version is more red and the blue suits the Sonic Universe better anyway in my opinion.
I must catch Series 9 when I can. I really want to watch it.
Let's hope to more silly questions, awesome chases and hilarious laughs from Bradley Walsh.
Ahhhh, the celebrities get all the best questions. Seriously. Watch any celeb special and you’ll see that they get the questions that make everyone laugh.
(If there’s one thing Sonic has that would be great for this show, it would be his sense of humour. I mean, come on! In episode 36 Sonic made a joke:
Sonic: Did you check under there?
Tails: Under where?
*Sonic sniggers*
Tails: *chuckles* Oh-hoh. Underwear. I get it.)

The second entry into the series sees Sonic take two counters from the machine behind him through maybe speedy reasons. It can only mean one thing - Tipping Point.
A show based on those machines you find down at the pier or somewhere fun (I'm British, I don't know much about anywhere else!) is unique, I guess. Half based on knowledge and half based on luck. And you can't even stamp your foot near the machine to cheat 'cause you're a few metres away from it. XD
Still one of my fav gameshows, though, since I do think the concept is interesting. Plus it keeps me on the edge of my seat.
Sonic's somehow managed to get a black counter and the Jackpot Counter out ... looks like he's one rich hedgehog now. And the machine's not too happy - as they say "she doesn't give her counters out easily".

This first entry into the Sonic Gameshows Series features a background from The Link. Lots of glowy particles and the links (lines) in the background make for one neon-like appearance.
I seriously love this show's theme tune. I guess it's the combination of the harp, the piano and the violins (I think). I could just listen and hum to the music all day if I wanted to. This episode has the highest quality opening I’ve found so far.
When I play at home, this is one of those gameshows where I never seem to get anything right. I find answering myself rather hard 'cause of my limited knowledge.
P.S I know for sure that Sonic had a question in one episode. It aired on my birthday (18th February 2015) so it was a nice 18th B-Day present. Unfortunately it’s one of two episodes I can’t access on YouTube.
