It had been a shock to find out Jason was alive, but he had been so relieved. It hadn’t mattered to him that Jay had gotten into some bad shit because he didn’t believe he was beyond reach. It had been a point of contention between him and the Titans, but Gar had refused to back down.
When the dust had settled, he found the time to slip out while Dick was tying up loose ends, intent on finding Jay before he headed back to California. There was a solid chance it wouldn’t go down well, not that he blamed Jason for that, but Gar didn’t want to leave without getting the chance to talk to him.
“You’re not the easiest person to find in a time crunch, you know that?” he called out when he caught sight of the other, the first hint of a smile touching his features. “If it’s not intentional, I’m impressed. If it is, well, I’ve got a better sense of smell so I guess it wouldn’t matter.”
