This would be one of his most devastating weapons, well, once he got it to work properly. Caesar’s area of expertise was definitely considered to be ‘weapons of mass destruction’, but more narrowly it was ‘weapons of mass destruction that involved poison gas’. This particular weapon would be a laser and sadly the scientist hadn’t made many laser-based weapons so he was a bit out of his element. However he was also a genius so this would definitely work, it would just take a teeny bit more time than usual.
For now the weapon was only in the testing stages, but it was looking good, good enough for a first test shot. The scientist made a couple of more adjustments to the settings, read over his calculations again then aimed the gun. He had to do this outside as this would be a powerful laser, powerful enough to damage things inside his lab if he kept it there. The weather outside was of course awful, even more awful than usual actually with a thunderstorm raging on in addition to the cold but he’d endure it in the name of science.
A pen and paper in hand, protected by the umbrella Caesar was holding he was ready to test his new weapon, taking a deep breath of excitement and finally firing it.
