VESTIGES: Scott Listfield & Friends II at Gauntlet Gallery.

Currently showing at Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco, California is the co-curated group show by artist Scott Listfield and gallery owner Luke Lombardo entitled “VESTIGES: Scott Listfield and Friends II.”

Following up the 2014 exhibit “Lost Moments,” VESTIGES finds twelve artists creating new work focusing on elements of their environment which are disappearing or no longer exist.

The show features work by: Alec Huxley, Ariel Freiberg, Josh Luke, Josie Morway, Juan Travieso, Nicole Duennebier, Nicole Gustafsson, Resa Blatman, Robert Minervini, Stephen Fox, Wiley Wallace & Scott Listfield.

Parasite’s “Black Things” at Gauntlet Gallery 2.

Currently showing in Gauntlet Gallery’s second space in San Francisco, California is artist Parasite’s “Black Things,” a solo show of new paintings.

The Polish artist utilizes found paintings to create his own work over.  By painting over the original work with geometric forms and lines, Parasite is able to transform and aesthetically play with the original image thus challenging our perceptions of what is, is not and could be.

“Black Things” is curated by Sven Davis and is on display until December 5th, 2015.

Liam Snootle for “Neo Geo” at Gauntlet Gallery.

A selection of artwork by Liam Snootle for the two person show, “Neo Geo,” which is showing currently at Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco, California.

Snootle, based out of Melbourne, creates stunningly sharp geometric paintings.  Showing alongside Carl Cashman (View Carl’s art for the show) for “Neo Geo” the two artists are exploring ideas of how energy and emotion can be born in the minds of viewers from simple and complex shapes.

“Neo Geo” is curated by Sven Davis and is on display until December 5th, 2015.

Mike Egan’s “Live Fast, Die Faster” at Gauntlet Gallery.

Currently showing at Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco, California is Mike Egan’s solo exhibition, “Live Fast, Die Faster.”

Mike’s playfully haunting, folk styled acrylic paintings are a perfect fit for the month of October or any person with a slight inclination towards the macabre.  Their inspiration is drawn from the many years Mike spent working in funeral homes prior to becoming a full time artist and offer a fantastic metaphorical depiction of life and death.

“Live Fast, Die Faster” is on display until the end of October 31st, 2015.
