Okay. So.
I'm STILL FREAKING OUT.
I didn't say anything in advance on tumblr because I didn't want to jinx anything and have my flight get cancelled or something but I MET CHARLIE.
I. MET. CHARLIE.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Basically this last weekend I flew out to German Comic Con and was lucky enough to do a photo op and autograph with Charlie!! Plus I got to watch his panel and ANYWAY HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
First was the panel!! I was lucky enough to be sitting near the microphone so I had the opportunity to stand up and ask a question. The bad part is that I was so nervous that I forgot to say my name/where I'm from, plus I wanted to thank Charlie and Elden for being there but I COMPLETELY forgot. Also I had no question prepared so it was a really terrible question that I asked but honestly I'm just so tickled that I got to ask something at the panel!!
Then was the photo op!! It literally lasted all of six seconds but it was the most wonderful six seconds ever. He was so remarkably kind and warm, really just a down-to-earth guy!! He asked me my name and then shook my hand, then we hugged (he's a really, really good hugger!!!!!!) and the best part is HE SAID MY NAME TWICE. The poor guy had to take a photo with hundreds of people yet he took the time to listen and actually say my name again — first, he said, "Nice to see you [my name], how's it going?" AND THEN he said "God bless you [my name], have a great day." Which honestly meant the world to me as I have a religious background and hearing it from Charlie just made me SWOON
And then the AUTOGRAPH. I'm going to post the video of the autograph next so you can see it (my mom recorded us) and it lasted so long!! Honestly such an incredible experience. We don't deserve Charlie, he was so nice and made my entire year just with his smile and kindness 💕 anyway thanks for reading my rant and i'll post the autograph video next, you can watch it here
