thank you for sending this in! i'm going to take this opportunity to write a little bit about my friend tee @gcldcnhour. i actually met tee in an rpg around about this time last year ( for the record: she was the best thing that came out of that experience ). from the very first interaction we had together, she was a fellow writer who made me feel so comfortable and so, so welcomed in an environment where that wasn't always the case. not only is tee such a caring and generous person, they are also an incredible writer. tee can give you ships involving heart-wrenching angst, spicy wedded bliss, the romance and pain of a couple who were each other's first love, the longing and the yearning and the joys and the sorrows that come with it all. tee will absolutely tick every single one of your boxes when it comes to finding a writing partner who is both invested in you as a mun and your muses. she has so many wonderful ones to choose from so please go give her some love. all the love, actually. she deserves it so much!

he knew the answer he should give, should have been 'yes, i was going to tell you', but he wasn't sure he could give that answer in all honesty. "i don't know." it wasn't the most helpful answer, nor was it going to help her make sense of the situation, but it was all that he had. "you... you wanted them to be from someone else. and when i started leaving the notes, i... well i honestly didn't plan anything long term. i wanted to try and cheer you up somehow, but we weren't exactly too friendly with each other. when you had somebody else in mind, i didn't want to burst that bubble for you."

waiting for perfection before she got into another relationship was her choice, she was fully prepared to play the long game to find the right person the next time around. playing the long game however meant that there wasn’t somebody to take care of certain needs, which is how she’d stumbled into their current situation. she got the physical parts she needed, she got comfort when she needed - all without the weight of a relationship. it was the perfect solution in her mind. when she got a text to say they’d been stood up for the date they were meant to have, she went to the store, grabbed some beer and ice-cream before heading over to their place. holding up what she’d brought when they opened the door. “i brought the best heartbreak remedies around. if you still want dinner, order whatever the hell you want on me.”

"Ah, so you're awake. You need to know that a deadly force of McNaughts will swarm the capital city tonight," Piter tells her. His voice is grave, and his face is almost expressionless. He looks like he's somewhat in shock. But he has been conditioned to stay calm and functional in the face of all manner of horrors. He continues on performing his function of reporting information without difficulty. "In honor of our negotiations thusfar, and surely to avoid angering a giant of the Landsraad, the McNaughts have offered to look the other way as I seek safe return to Giedi Prime, so long as I take no one with me from Wallach. We are in space now. We have already cleared the atmosphere, and we are on schedule to arrive at a heighliner that will take us to the relative safety of Harkonnen space."

The discomfort on his face does not match the steady professionalism of his voice. He looks down. "I do not know why I brought you along," he says, in his own voice, and not the announcer's monologue of his role. He sounds tired, and conflicted, and a little horrified. "The McNaughts will not take it to be a breach of their terms because they have never known that you were there at all. And so, I thought... I don't know what I thought. I am taking you to Margot Fenring, a Bene Gesserit sister of great wealth and renown who currently lives on Arrakis as a correspondent to the Emperor... The Harkonnens need not learn of you either. You don't have to ever see me again, after that. I'm... sorry."
