News about her death spread like wildfire all across Okhema. If others weren't grieving, they were celebrating. But as to how a certain scholar reacted to the sudden news was unknown. (ratio)
The news got to him rather quickly. The feeling of it was a gut punch while he was working. When he was waiting for their person who told him to leave, he felt weak. Years on years of being away, with unspoken truths and feelings, he wasn't sure what was going to happen now. Ratio knew what Okhema was like, and the more he heard about what was going on, he wasn't sure if he should make the trip just yet. Taking personal time would be out of the question, and yet.
He was standing at his desk. His research stared back at him, and yet he was a mess.
Feeling his legs almost give out on him, he moved away from the desk and soon sat back into his chair. The strange feeling his his chest was hurting, and parts of him wished he had told her sooner how he felt ( or maybe she knew.) yet, he knew outside that door he had to be calm and cool. not allowing himself to break down in front of anyone. Ratio had to make sure no one saw him as weak, as he was feeling.
His head hung down, and he was staring at his hands, knowing that there was going to be an emptiness if he had to go back home. Thinking that now he had NO REASONS to go back to that place, he was unsure what to do. Mourn her? No one knew his relationship with the woman, and traveling back there would only raise questions. What would the point even be if he went back? What good would that be for him, or anyone, if he went back to that place? Knowing everything that was, would be gone, and he could only have the memories.
And yet he just wanted to go see her one last time.
Even if that was unlikely, the Doctor was just going to sit in his office until he felt the need to move again. His stomach turned for once, and his emotions were high.
No one could cold how weak he was over a woman who was loved and hated.
