The Gildie Awards Honors Mondays at Racine

The Gilda’s Club NYC Associate Board (AB) hosted their fourth annual Gildie Awards in April, and raised $17,500.

This year the Associate Board honored Cynthia Sansone and Rachel DeMolfetto, Founders of Mondays at Racine. Mondays at Racine  is an in-salon wellness and beauty program that has been taking care of women living with cancer for over twelve years by providing complimentary spa and salon services to individuals with cancer.

AB member and Events Co-Chair, Ashley Sampson, received the Gildie Leadership Award for her outstanding work on the Board.

Guests danced the night away to DJ Vida Ventura and a high energy performance by Temporary Grace. Food and drinks were generously provided by: Relish Catering, Veniero’s Pasticceria & Caffe, Three Wishes Bakery and a sponsored open bar by Diageo. Special thanks also to Starbright Floral Design, T.A.P and Juice Generation.

Karaoke for a Cause

Gilda’s Club New York City’s Associate Board held their first ever Karaoke for a Cause event, welcoming over 50 new and existing supporters to raise funds and awareness for Gilda’s Club NYC.  The event - hosted by the hilarious Cristina Cote at Spot Karaoke - was filled with singing, comedy, raffle prizes and an unforgettable Beyoncé sing-off.  Attendees jumped at the chance to nominate friends to sing with the option of opting-out for an additional donation.

As if spending the night listening to entertaining renditions of songs like “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Party in The USA” wasn't enough, the Associate Board raised over $1500 for our free cancer support community.

A huge thank you goes out to our host, Cristina Cote, for donating her time and making the event such a success. The Associate Board looks forward to many more karaoke events to come!​
