◌ Mother/Father ◉ Dream(s) ✯ Perfect day
“My dad’s gone. He died when I was really young, so I don’t remember much from him, mom does more. My mom’s probably the best parent I could ask for. She works hard, and she doesn’t come home early, but we spend a lot of time together on weekends. She’s gentle, always worried for me. She sometimes gets a little overbearing about it, but I understand why. I’m pretty sure she’ll have a little difficulty letting me go, growing up, but truth be told I would want to stay too, no matter how much we know and will act on the fact that I’ll be growing up, and relate more as equals, rather than as parent and child.”
“Most of my aspirations came after my visit to Cybertron. I want to become the human ambassador to the Cybertronian people, and be able to work together and avoid future wars with each other, and perhaps even within our own peoples through mediation. I know a lot of good people there who can help with that and who shares the same aspirations as I do…and I want to see them again.”
“Perfect day? It’s hard to say…there’s a lot of different days I’d probably call perfect. Most all of them revolve around spending a day with all of my friends on Cybertron. I’d probably have my employer from Finland there too, since he shares my interest with them and knows Volver on a personal basis…It’d be a nice partly cloudy day where Hawk and Skyshark and Lightfall could fly and enjoy the sky, and Providence enjoying the sea with Snowblind and Geardust. I’m sure Crankit would be off skating around the alleyways and streets having the time of his life…and I’d be able to spend the morning hours showing Hardwire around town, and then stargaze at night…the specifics beyond these are not important. So long as they’re able to do what they love, and I’m there to see it, then that’s a perfect day for me.”
Honest! Hardwire and Geardust
“…I remember thinking when I heard the voice that I wasn’t home anymore. But I suppose I kind of figured that out already. But to hear a response from a Cybertronian kinda scared me at first. The most I knew of them was how they destroyed New York City, and how there was a global conflict because of these people, at least from the Decepticons. When I first saw him I kept wondering if he was one of those, if I was being led on to some gruesome end. But there was nothing but genuine honesty in his voice, and he looked really cool and unique among his kind! He was so nice…and somehow excited to see a human like me. It quickly became apparent that he had never been to Earth before…but we managed to get to talking regardless. A lot about each other’s people, him showing me around Cybertron. It wasn’t too long until I felt that I was in probably some of the best hands I could have ever fallen into. He’s still my closest friend.”
“Geardust, I didn’t know what to expect. I suppose I thought that someone that’d look similar to Hardwire, I guess, probably because humans have similar looking brothers and all. He was shorter than I thought he’d be…pretty scary with that skull design…especially when he was going to smash me with that hammer of his. But he was alright…He loves his brother a lot, and he rescued me when Hardwire couldn’t anymore. I wasn’t sure how I felt towards him then. It was a mixture of fear, guilt, but also curiosity. There was a lot more to him than what met the eye, and I wanted to know him better, which in no small part led me to, well, here.”
gear-dust approaches...
Claymore squinted. The sun was in his eyes and he couldn’t quite make out who was approaching... but the silhouette didn’t match anyone he knew. He spluttered and coughed a little, killing any chance he’d had of hiding, and with a grumble stepped out of his hangar on onto the runway into view.
“Y’lookin’ for somethin’?”
gear-dust spotted you
RPD stopped, glanced up, then slumped his shoulders. More robots. Maybe this one isn't going to ramble on about how disgusting he is...like someone else with a red face. Taking a few steps back, he raised his hands, as usual, and spoke up.
"Hey, ah, you're pretty fuckin' big, aaaand I'm not. So I'm just gonna go ahead and go that way and we can act like this never happened, right? Right."
